You can pin an image of your own (not from Amazon). Repins are ok from the original pin. For this blog post, we discuss links on your website and pins. There are now different types of pins. All “pins” are now under one name. No more idea pins, video pins, etc. they are called just pins. In this article, I am talking about the “new”pins.

1. Create a post or page with Amazon products (you can use Amazon product photos on your site but not Pinterest), but make sure to follow the rules to credit sources and link to them.
2. Pin the image from your site, or add it manually in Pinterest, and paste your affiliate link in the corresponding link box. See the example below from the desktop version.

It is required before you start referring traffic from social media, you should list all the accounts you plan to share links from in your Associates Central account. It’s simple to do, and it reduces the likelihood that you’ll get an inquiry from the Associate’s program about your referring traffic (which can happen when we start seeing big waves of traffic from sources you haven’t previously “claimed”).

Start by visiting the “Account Settings” page when logging into your Associates Central account and clicking on “Edit Your Website and Mobile App List.” You can add each social network profile URL one by one.

If you are a blogger, it might not be the best fit because you send them straight to the shoppable link and may miss any ad revenue if they visit your site or an email sign-up.

If you are an e-commerce store, then this is definitely something you want to do!

Buyable pins and shoppable pins are two different things. Shopify or other eCommerce shops can add their catalogs, which can be found in the shop tabs now.
